The Effect of Planting Dates and Nitrogen Fertilizer on Aphis craccivora (koch) Infestation in Faba Bean (Vicia faba, L.) fields

The present study was carried out at Wadi El Natrun district, El-Behera Governorate during season 2019–2020. In a field study, the effect of two planting dates and three rates nitrogen fertilizer on population Legume aphid, Aphis craccivora (Koch) (Homoptera: Aphididae), in faba bean (Vicia faba, L.)were investigated. results show that higher occurrence aphid recorded early date than recommended one. combination climatic factors plant age density presented as explained variance which 75 74% respectively. densities were significantly lower plants fertilized with lowest rate (75 kg feddan−1), compared those highest (100 125 feddan−1 respectively) both dates. These indicate moderately nutrition can help to avoid insect pests infestation.
